Celebrate!
Senior
Center
A
gathering place for friendly people to enjoy good conversation, good food,
and new experiences in an atmosphere of faith.
The Celebrate!
participants meet on Wednesdays from mid September through May and a few
times during the summer. Participants
arrive around 10:30 AM for coffee and friendship.
We then hold a worship service followed by lunch and a program.
Those interested in a Bible study arrive at 9:30 AM.
The regular schedule begins September 13, 2006.
Friendship
Above all else, Celebrate!
Senior
Center
is a place where one can find a friend. We look forward to
your participation. Please join
us for coffee and sweets beginning at 10:30 AM in the Holy Grounds Coffee
Shop.
Worship
After our fellowship time, Celebrate! participants gather for
an ecumenical worship service.
Bible Study
Those interested, may participate in a Bible study held at 9:30 AM on
Wednesday meeting dates in the church coffee shop.
Meal
A very popular part of the Celebrate! Ministry is the noon
meal. Every Wednesday a nourishing meal is served. A minimal
donation is suggested for the meal.
Educational, Spiritual & Social
Programs
Educational opportunities with guest lecturers and other programs enhance
the afternoon. Informational programs of fun, travel, health, music,
and others of interest are presented each week. You may have antiques
appraised, play bingo, taste chocolate, or play a spirited game of Rummikub.
Book Exchange
Enjoy choosing a paperback book to enjoy at home.
Finished with one you enjoyed, donate it to the Book Exchange so
others may enjoy it.
Mission
Participants are encouraged to share their time and talents. They have
helped to stock the Food Pantry, prepared Easter Baskets for the Township,
as well as visiting those who are lonely or unable to participate.
This year we again adopted a family for Christmas, made tray favors for a
local nursing home and held fund raisers for both the center and the church.
