Outreach/service
An integral part of Christ Lutheran Church’s mission and vision is to reach out and connect with our community. Some of the ways we do this are:
Adopt-a-Family – Holiday gifts are donated for needy families in Palatine Township.
Apple Tree Campaign – Donations of school supplies are gathered for Palatine Township’s program to provide supplies to students who cannot afford them.
Bread Team – Visitors at worship services are thanked by delivering a loaf of bakery bread to their homes and inviting them back. This personal touch is an opportunity to share the caring spirit of CLC. If the visitor is home at the time of delivery, mention is made of the exciting activities happening at Christ Lutheran Church.
New Resident Packets – Packets of information about CLC and Palatine are delivered to new residents in the area.
PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter) – Housing for the homeless is provided one night a week from October through April.
Palatine Township Food Pantry – Non-perishable food items are collected for the pantry throughout the year.
Rebuilding Together/Christmas in April – Volunteers provide repairs for the homes of disabled or needy people.
Sister congregations - New Song in Henderson, NV.
Lutheran World Relief - Support is given
to the various projects of this branch of the nationwide Evangelical
Lutheran Church in America.
